Hai!
I know i've been fairly inactive lately, kinda just disappeared without any notice, only posting once a month and stuff,
and not necessarily because i've been intensely working on any one thing more so just because my mental health has been absolutely
horrible, nothing any of you should worry about i'm fine now but regardless i had other more serious things to focus on as apposed
to maintaining my art accounts, but i have been working on some stuff
And i would love to share it with you !!
Yes i think it's very funny that i've been inactive since artfight this year and all of the stuff i have to show for it is stuff
from these last two months, end of November and start of December
YOUTUBE CHANNEL
Now, i used to animate quite a bit last year and i'd post all my animations on youtube but i haven't uploaded anything to my
youtube for over a year
I suppose i just didn't have any new ideas or the motivation to sit down and make something in that regard so i just kinda stopped
worrying about it
But my "newfound" obsession with Vocaloid and utaite culture (a Japanese term for amateur singers who post covers on the Internet,
most usually of Vocaloid songs) has led me to hyperfixating on the idea of making covers my self
I've always wanted to make my own music, more recently i suppose, become a vocaloid producer or digital hardcore artist,
maybe even punk artist or most likely all three !! But i am very far from achieving that goal, both in terms of time and
motivation i can dedicate to that kind of project, and pure skill
But making covers, especially of Vocaloid songs, is the first step to something like that and something i would love to be known for
I told myself that any song i choose to cover, i would remake the music video for, or at the very least the art cover, because it's
something i love to see, and it's my way to show even more appreciation for the original song
I plan on making mainly UTAU covers, regardless of if i can pirate VOCALOID or not i am an UTAU kid, i know how to use the program
and i've grown attached to the characters, i would love to use VOCALOID one day to but for the time being i'm more than happy with
my utauloids, they are amazing and i cherish them very much, i think all of them deserve so much more attention and while i know
my platform isn't big enough for it i wanna show my appreciation for them, especially for characters like Nene Nene which i haven't
seen almost anyone talk about
Currently i've finished only one cover
That being of 歪なわけ、教えてあげる (I'll tell you why i hate you), it's on my youtube and i've made a small post about it here too
It's been up for less than two weeks and it's already at 1.1K views which i am very happy about !!
As of right now i'm working on two more covers, one being another UTAU cover, and the other hopefully being sung by me personally
They're not gonna be done any time soon, i'd want to take my time with it, and the music video for the non UTAU cover is way more
complicated than any animation project i've worked on before so it will take a long while, but i'm looking forward to finish both
regardless so keep an eye out for those !!
I'd also love to just make more animation content, like i used to, hopefully with more skill, and my dream of making my own animated
show hasn't gone away, just put on the sidelines for now (But if anyone's curious, i'm working on the outlines of the story for the
time being, most of the stuff you guys know about my ocs William and Hannah has been completely reworked)
VIDEO GAME - (If you like my oc Sariel, you'll love this)
As mentioned maybe for the first time here, i'm a computer science student (technically, i go to two schools, the main one being the
one i'm taking computer science classes for) and recently i applied to go to a hackathon with three of my classmates
The hackathon being a programming competition event held by a university in one of my neighboring cities, in which upon being given a
theme each team had exactly 24 hours to make a game from scratch that would fit said theme, and at the end of which we would present
the game we made to a team of judges
With absolutely no prior experience in game dev or working in a team with the three of them, i didn't expect our team to even be
mentioned but we ended up with a game all 4 of us are extremely proud of and actually (technically) won 4th place
Aside from being absolutely exhausted and disappointed that we didn't win anything even though all of the mentors there and other
contestants thought we would i had an amazing time and a lot of fun working on that game
And now that it's over, all 4 of us collectively agreed to continue developing this game
So i present to you
Dissonance of Worlds, our upcoming indie game project :DD
The main mechanic of the game is the switching between worlds, the game was intended to be a 2d puzzle platformer, where you would
need to figure out a way to get past obstacles by going through both worlds, and interacting with different objects, with the main
objective being to unite the two worlds again, but in the end we only had time for the platformer part of it, though i would love to
take the game in a more metroidvania direction now that we have as much time to develop it as we could ever need
The game follows the story of Sariel (some of you may already be familiar with him, he's one of my ocs that i am more than fond of),
a child of the stars, born from two worlds
His story has always been more of in the background when it comes to my ocs and other than the more so basic concepts he hasn't had
much development over the years, but now that i have the opportunity to turn his story into something more i can't tell you how
excited i am
All of the visual art, animation, assets, and most of the story will be developed by me and other than the short demo i don't have
much else to show
The hackathon was literally last weekend so
If any of this interests you even remotely i guess just keep an eye out, i wouldn't trust me with regular updates but as soon as i
set up my blog page i'll probably be more regular about these kinds of things, i should probably start building some hype around my
projects if i ever want anyone to ever see them but marketing has never been my strong suit so take this as my best shot
IN SHORT
So to recap, i made an official website where most of the relevant information about me and my projects will be, i'm also working on
song covers and animations for my youtube as well as starting development on an indie game featuring my oc Sariel
Other than those three things i haven't been up to much
Please go check all of that stuff out it would really make my day
